Solar Recovery Corporation is an Australian owned company that provides a break through in circular economy recovery capability in Australia. Solar Recovery Corporation (SRC) is the Australian owned partnership to the European Company LME, who manufacture clean technology specifically built to process end-of-life Solar PV Panels. We have a 12-year successful history in the European market with a 99+% material recovery rate.


Our Mission

  • Divert all end-of-life (EOL) Solar PV Panels out of the landfill stream.

  • Establish benchmark standards for SRC centres across Australia.

  • Use proven clean technology that is safe, protecting human health and protecting the environment.

  • Recover 99+% materials from EOL Solar PV Panels for recycling back into the manufacturing stream.

  • Work with universities and stakeholders to continuously enhance the quality of recovered raw materials.

  • Elevate product stewardship and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) standards in Australia to improve circular economy thinking.



Research & Development

Solar Recovery Corporation continues to work with strategic partners to further develop systems and processes for the Solar PV Panel industry.

SRC will continue to further develop the recovered raw materials so that they can be used in different applications creating new industries within Australia and Internationally.


  • LME is a research organisation developing world leading solutions and technology. The Consortium is involved in various research and development projects with national and international partners. LME continue to work closely with ERMA and drive the policies for recovered materials.

  • The European Raw Materials Alliance (ERMA) Was announced on 3 September 2020, as part of an action plan on critical raw materials, and the publication of the 2020 list of critical raw materials. The action plan looks at the current and future challenges and proposes actions to reduce Europe's raw materials dependency on third countries, diversifying supply from both primary and secondary sources and improving resource efficiency and circularity while promoting responsible sourcing worldwide.

  • The innovative research centres at Deakin help to solve global challenges, creating smarter technology. Deakin has a deep history forging partnerships with leaders in industry, government, and research to solve problems, share ideas, and inspire work-ready graduates. Solar Recovery Corporation has established a collaborative partnership with Deakin University’s Institute of Frontier Materials and Manufactures.

  • UNSW is one of the leading research-intensive universities in the Asia Pacific region with world class expertise, facilities and infrastructure in professional and scientific fields. Engagement and linkage with external partners from industry, government and other organisations is fundamental to our mission. The SRC technology provides high quality recovered raw materials ready for reuse. The SRC vision is to develop an Australian made product, creating Solar PV Panel manufacturing in Australia using high level recovered raw materials from the SRC clean technology.
